Tallahassee Politicians want to use
Kate Sullivan and Cobb school property to
build a dangerous stormwater detention pond.
FACT:
Ponds built on school properties have been linked to tragic accidents for kids.

BACKGROUND
Tallahassee Politicians are seeking to build a dangerous stormwater detention pond on Kate Sullivan and Cobb property next to the PE fields. Detention ponds like these have been linked to tragic accidents for kids both here in Florida and across the country. There exist more sensible options to manage stormwater that do not endanger our children and the neighborhood.
This dangerous stormwater detention pond will be a 300 foot long, 15 foot high dam, which would cut directly through a natural wooded ravine and stream in the heart of Tallahassee's Old Town Neighborhood, putting at risk property values, as well as endangering children at Kate Sullivan, Cobb, and the surrounding neighborhood.
